NILE is committed to sustainability. Around 90% of the materials used come from sustainable sources. We take responsibility for the entire production chain, and therefore trust in reliable and independent certifications such as the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS).
SUSTAINABLE TEXTILE SWITZERLAND 2030
NILE signed up to the Sustainable Textiles Switzerland 2030 (STS2030) program in 2024 and has been bound by its requirements since that date.
This scheme helps stakeholders within Switzerland’s textile and clothing sector to act in a socially and environmentally responsible way along their entire supply chain, while incorporating transparent sustainability criteria into their organizations. By taking part, we undertake to meet the following goals:
- Reduce greenhouse gas emissions
- Encourage fair pay and dignified work for all
- Promote innovative business models that support the circular economy
- Foster transparency to ensure purchasers can make sustainable decisions
We see our participation in STS2030 as an opportunity to expand our previous endeavors and develop new approaches through dialog with other companies. Our goal is to use specific measures and projects to have a positive impact on our environment and on the world of work.

NILE IS A CERTIFIED SUPPLIER OF GOTS PRODUCTS (LICENSE NUMBER CU1040241)
GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) is an independent and international certification, and ensures especially high environmentally friendly standards along the entire textile production chain. From extracting the raw textile fibers to weaving, dyeing and sewing, through to labeling the final product and sales, the entire socially responsible production process is presented in a transparent and comprehensible way. Alongside environmental criteria, fair working conditions also have to be ensured.
